From: Grand Junction’s Downtown Merchants and Grand Valley’s Entertainers & Music Students, The annual Spirit of more...0 Christmas Walk will be Friday December 13th and will once again be the year’s largest and most varied collection of entertainers at a single event on the Western Slope! We are expecting to have three hundred + roving entertainers performing on Downtown’s Main Street and inside Downtown’s unique shops. Performing will be; music students, barbershop quartets, choirs, jazz bands. Bluegrass pickers and more! Bring your neighbors and sing a carol! Of course, Santa Claus will be there as usual, along with horse drawn carriage rides. Businesses will be open late from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM and will be serving complimentary hot drinks & treats. It is totally free!

Kick off your holiday season more...0 in grand style as the Western Colorado Chorale and full forces of the GJSO unite for an evening of your favorite yuletide hits! Beloved carols and classic seasonal tunes infused with the power and magic of a full orchestra and chorus. Under the batons of Charles Latshaw and Dirk Johnson, the stage comes alive with the joyful melodies of the season, transporting audiences to a world of holiday cheer and merriment. When to Arrive: Doors open one hour before the performance; most people arrive 40 minutes early. Concessions are available before the concert and at intermission. Parking: Plenty of parking around Colorado Mesa University Performing Arts Center with no passes needed on weekends or after 5 p.m. on Fridays. Dress Code: Wear what you like; dressing up is optional. General Guide for Applause: Clap for the Concertmaster, Conductor, and after each piece. Etiquette: Please silence devices, limit noise, and be considerate to ensure everyone enjoys the performance.

Don't miss out on the annual holiday tradition of The Nutcracker ballet at CMU's new Asteria Theatre from December 19-23. Eight live more...0 performances of this full-length ballet will be presented by Western Colorado's premier professional ballet company, Colorado West Performing Arts Company (CWPAC). This enchanting two-act ballet takes you alongside Clara's magical journey to defeat the Mouse King and join the Nutcracker Prince in the Land of Sweets, leaving the theatre with plenty to share and remember. Featuring thirteen professional company artists, three trainees, and other talented local youth who auditioned for supporting roles, this show runs just under two hours, including a 20-minute intermission. After each performance, opportunities to meet the cast and take photos will be available in the auditorium or lobby.

Join us for a Winter Solstice celebration with Dances of Universal Peace. Our group intention is to create a more loving and joyous world. Group more...0 singing and movement are part of many indigenous traditions. These circle dances honor all spiritual traditions and will be accompanied by LIVE MUSIC. This event is hosted by our trusted guide Bernie Heideman who is a certified dance leader with experience leading dances all over the world. The words, melody, and movements of each dance are taught before doing the dance. No experience or partners are needed nor is having a “good” voice. Please invite friends that may be interested.
