a party, and you’re invited! Get ready for the Rocky Mountain PBS KIDS FEST, bringing neighbors together to celebrate, learn, and connect at Long Family Memorial Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023. RMPBS KIDS invites Colorado families out to play with memorable experiences and local resources to grow your community circles. “We are proud to bring RMPBS KIDS FEST back to Grand Junction. It means so much to be able to bring neighbors and families together to celebrate, learn, and connect with each other and with community resources. We wouldn’t be able to do this without incredible support from donors, nonprofits, government organizations, and businesses across Colorado—it really takes a village” says Alex Forsett, Rocky Mountain Public Media’s Western Colorado Regional Director & Statewide University Partnerships. Nearly 30 community partners will present a day of fun educational activities for the whole family. Create your own art projects, join a storytelling circle, decorate your face with colorful stencils, learn about solar and wind-powered energy, create your own art projects, play games that boost brain development, learn to ride a bike, practice dental hygiene skills, and more. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to meet our most popular guests, Daniel Tiger and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Community partners include CASA of Mesa County, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley, MarillacHealth, Martial Arts Research Systems, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, The Art Center of Western Colorado, Girl Scouts of Colorado, Mesa County Libraries, Colorado Heart Gallery, Jolley Smiles, Roice-Hurst Humane Society, The Hi Fives Robotics, Parent Possible, Hilltop Community Resources, JustServe Grand Junction Colorado, Landmark Baptist School, St. Mary's Life Center Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Program, IntelliTec College, Grand Valley Power, Adaptive Heroes, Generation Wild / Great Outdoors Colorado, Majestic Mesas Scouts USA/Greater Colorado Council, Community Food Bank, Centro Colorado Head Start, Western Colorado Area Health Education Center, The Cycle Effect, and Renewal by Andersen. “Back by popular demand, we’re bringing PBS KIDS characters, Daniel Tiger and Clifford the Big Red Dog, to meet and snap photos with kids and families, while they connect with a diverse group of local organizations and resources centered around young childhood development,” says RMPBS KIDS Manager Wendy Allen. RMPBS KIDS started in 1996 and continues to connect families to enjoyable learning experiences that build bridges to community resources with new generations across Colorado. up, and no f*cks given, Koe Wetzel leaves a trail of sold- out venues, screaming fans, and empty booze bottles in his wake wherever he goes. Proudly hailing from Northeast Texas, he has quietly asserted himself as the ultimate country rockstar, bulldozing the boundaries between Nashville songcraft, rowdy Texas spirit, and rainswept Seattle hard rock. After moving 1 million units under the radar and popping off as one of the hottest live performers in the game, he welcomes everyone to the party on his 2022 full-length offering, Hell Paso [Columbia Records]. “I did what I wanted to do,” he exclaims. “This was straight up me. Nobody told me to do this record. We pulled in every genre we were feeling at the time. We spent the last ten years trying to make this sound —Hell Paso is it.” Never compromising, Koe might just be the last real rebel out there. The Gold-selling singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer shakes up the status quo, shatters expectations, and sticks to his guns with a sound steeped in country storytelling, yet spiked with grunge grit. He’s unapologetic, undeniable, and unlike anyone else you’ve ever heard. Without anything to prove and nothing to lose, he continues to kick ass on his own terms. Breaking through with a series of independent releases and tallying over 1.3 billion streams to date, he has impressively notched three RIAA Gold-certified singles, including “February 28, 2016,” “Something To Talk About,” and “Drunk Driving.” The latter adorned his 2020 Columbia Records debut, Sellout, which arrived to widespread critical acclaim from American Songwriter, Billboard, The Boot, Rolling Stone, and more. At the same time, he has quietly emerged as a powerhouse performer. He graced Pollstar’s “Top Worldwide Tours” back-to-back in 2020 and 2021, moving hundreds of thousands of Tickets in the process. In addition to headlining his own Koe Wetzel’s Incredible Music Festival, he has packed arenas, amphitheaters, and ballparks across North America, attracting a devout audience
