comedians and an exclusive tour of our latest exhibition, this is an event you won’t want to miss! The night kicks off with a special Comedians Talk Art Tour, where guests will join The Art Center's Curator, Matthew Jones, alongside comedians BK Sharad and Sammy Anzer for an educational and comedic twist on art tours. Comedians say the quiet part out loud and aren't afraid to show how little they know about art. This makes for a tour that's more relaxed, more approachable, a little silly, and unlike any other. Join Matthew and our comedians for an intimate exploration of our newest exhibition, Contemporary Masters – The Wednesday Group, featuring artwork by Daniel Sprick, Mitch Caster, Emily Olson, and many others. Limited tickets available (20 spots only). You might've seen BK Sharad at the Netflix is a Joke Festival or in one of his viral stand-up videos with millions of views. His unique perspective—shaped by his experience as a former emo, hockey-playing, first-generation Indian millennial—delivers a fresh and hilarious outlook on life. Sammy Anzer is a national touring headliner who has performed everywhere from Aspen to the Apollo. He's written for Kevin Hart's LOL Network and performed alongside Kevin Nealon, DL Hughley, and Maria Bamford. Rooster Magazine in Denver describes his performances as blending "joy with contemplation," offering insightful societal commentary that inspires reflection while maintaining an uplifting atmosphere. Tickets: •Comedians Talk Art Tour + Comedy Show: $30 (Limited to 20 tickets)- https://canvas.gjartcenter.org/events/177 •Comedy Show ONLY: $25 https://canvas.gjartcenter.org/events/176 Comedians Talk Art Tour with Sammy Anzer & Art Center Curator Matthew Jones: 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM Cocktail Hour: 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Must be 21+ to purchase alcohol) Stand-Up Comedy Show: 6:30 PM – 6:45 PM ($30) The Art Center of Western Colorado 1803 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501 This event is expected to sell out fast. a sort of mission statement. “I know someday this old highway’s gonna come to an end,” Alvin sings near the song’s conclusion. Gilmore answers: “But I know when it does you’re going to be my friend.” Six years later, they’re serving notice that the old highway hasn’t ended yet. “We’re still standing, no matter what you might hear,” they sing on “We’re Still Here,” the final track to their new album Texicali, which continues to bridge the distance between the two troubadours’ respective home bases of California (Alvin) and Texas (Gilmore).

A.J. CROCE: HEART OF THE ETERNAL TOUR

virtuoso who started playing as a small child and toured with B.B. King at just 18-years-old, the Nashville-based singer/songwriter has since collaborated and performed with legends and luminaries across a wide expanse of genres (Willie Nelson, Leon Russell, Ry Cooder, Allen Toussaint, to name a few), all while building up an acclaimed catalog that blurs the boundaries between blues, soul, rock & roll, Americana, and much more. When it came time to create his new album Heart of the Eternal, Croce joined forces with in-demand producer Shooter Jennings (Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker) and once again pushed the limits of his artistry, arriving at a transcendent selection of songs that journey from psychedelia to Philadelphia soul to Latin-infused jazz-pop with both unbridled imagination and sophisticated grace.
